Ceren Kurt

Mr. Richard Tang is currently the Managing Principal of Tang Capital Advisors. He also serves as Vice Chairman Emeritus and Senior Advisor to Rokos Capital Management.

Prior to founding Tang Capital Advisors, Rich joined Rokos Capital Management in February 2020 as a Partner, Global Head of Markets and Head of the New York office. Rich was responsible for managing the investment teams and the investment process in addition to being a member of the 5-person Partnership Board that manages the firm. He was responsible for the re-design of the fund’s investment structure. He had also managed the Trading and Treasury team, Economic Research, Risk Management, Trading Strategy and Investor Relations/Marketing departments.

Previously, he was Head of Trading at Element Capital from 2014-2020 where he was on the Risk Committee, started the PM Program, and managed the Economics team.

Prior to that, Rich spent nearly 20 years with RBS/Greenwich Capital, most recently as Head of Fixed Income, Currency, and Equity Sales for the Americas, and on the Board of RBS Securities. He was also a member of their Global Markets Executive Committee and the Americas Executive Committee.

Rich also served as Head of International and Emerging Market Sales at HSBC Markets from 1994-1995, after beginning his career at Salomon Brothers in Corporate Liability Arbitrage and International Sales (1990-1994).

Rich was a member of the U.S. Treasury’s Borrowing Advisory Committee from 2009-2014, responsible for advising the U.S. Treasury Department on debt issuance, composition, and market conditions.

Mr. Tang graduated from Yale University with a BA in Economics.
